The puzzle
Every day, a man drops a small coin into a jar.
He has been doing it for years.
When the jar fills up, he does not spend what is in it.

He started on the day he gave up smoking, and he adds one coin for every day he has not smoked since.
The coins are not savings.
They are a count of the days.
